In English:

I need to control myself
I shall not let others see me crying
Pretending I do not care about you
WIsh not thinking of you
Blame myself for not having courage

My heart hurts that I could not breathe
I could not find footprints that you left
Open my eyes looking at you
But I am helpless
To let you disppear from end of this world

I could not find the reason to be strong
Could no longer feel your warmth
Tell me where is the star universe
Does the place have an end

My heart hurts that I could not breathe
I could not find footprints that you left
Open my eyes looking at you
But I am helpless
To let you disppear from end of this world

I could not find the reason to be strong
Could no longer feel your warmth
Tell me where is the star universe
Does the place have an end

So I wish upon a meteor
Let you know I love you

Ryoju (The Hunting Gun)

I found this little book at 2008's Book Fair held in my town. Yes, it is little and thin in shape yet the cover attracted me most. I bet there are lots of versions for its publications around the world. And in Indonesian it called "Bedil Perburuan" with its cover depicts three Japanese Women in their lovely Kimono about thinking a man (also in kimono) in the middle of shot target.

Published: 1949

This story tells about a narrator-poet who was being asked by his old friend to submit a poetry for that's friend magazine - The Hunter's Companion, a magazine about hunting. The narrator himself wasn't a hunter thus he recalled about a man he saw with a hunting gun in his shoudler at the foot of Amagi Mountain. It struck him about the loneliness of the hunter's back, and the silent and cold hunting gun itself in his shoulder was the symbol of emptiness felt by the hunter. So, he made his poetry based on this impression.

Two or three months later after his poetry published (in a tiny and unrecognizable space in the magazine) or even after the narrator forgot about it at all, there was a package sent to him from a man called himself Josuke Misugi - the hunter with the hunting gun he saw in his poetry.

The package consisted of three letters from three different women but in close relationship: Saiko - Josuke's secret lover who felt the guilty or sin yet still loved his first husband; Shoko - Saiko's daughter who was really shocked to find out about her mother and Josuke's love affair; and Midori - Josuke's wife who was very pretty yet unhappy and knew from the first about Josuke and Saiko's love affairs.

The novel, indeed, tells about tragic love affair with its psychological impact not merely on each persons involved but also on people surround them. This story had the setting of Post World War II ear in the middle-upper society in Ashiya, a prosperous suburban area between two developed business districts - Osaka and Kobe. It combines Inoue's observation and concern about daily lives and historical-social situation they reflect.

And, according to the hunter himself (Josuke Misugi - who previously a leader executive business but later being shoved aside from his position), the hunting gun was an inseparable part, no matter how successful or unsuccessful the public life or even the brightness of person's personal life was.

Bmx, Horse Race, Downhill, and Betelnut Climbing

Some other activities held to celebrate our City's anniversary and our country Independence Day that will be on August 17 (it will be during the Ramadhan days thus the activities are being held earlier). To our small town - due to the lack of kind amusing events - those happenings could be such rare entertainments. I just hope that those events will be held annually.

BMX Super Cross 2010
This event was held on July 25, 2010 in Bendosari circuit, Salatiga and being followed by lots of racers from around Indonesia. Actually this event is also held in several cities around the year. Even, some racers are national bike athletes that represent Indonesia in international championships.

Pordasi (Horse Race)
This event was held on August 7-8, 2010 in Horse Race Arena Tegalwaton, Tengaran Subdistrict, Semarang Regency, Central Java. It was a national championship. Unfortunately I could not watch this new experience because there was another event being held on the same day, and we (me, my sister and my lil nephew) chose the next one.

UKDI National Downhill 5th Series, Salatiga, August 6-8

It was held in Salib Putih race arena with distance of 1.350 m and 153 rider final run.

Betelnut Climbing

It was held to celebrate our Independence Day. Not only this game but some other interesting-sporty games were held in Pancasila square on August 8, 2010. Some funny things happen while those climbing the betelnut covered with oil to get lots of presents hanging up around.

first train home

by: Imogen Heap

lyric:
(I've got to get on it) (3x)

Bodies disengaged, our mouths are fleshing over.
It's just an echo game, irises retreating
to ovals of white.
The urge to feel your face
And blood rushing to paint my handprint
A Frisbee one by one
Your vinyl on lamanent
Desperate for some kind of contact.

First train home, I've got to get on it (3x)
To Catch, to catch, catch catch catch.
First train home, I've got to get on it (3x)
First Train home

Temporal deadzone where clocks are barely breathing
Yet no one cares to notice for all the yelling
All night clamor to hold it together.
I want to play don't wait forms in the hideaway
I want to get on with getting on with things
I want to run in fields, paint the kitchen
And love someone
And I can't do any of that here, can I?

First train home, I've got to get on it (3x)
First Train home

So what? You've had one too many.
So what? I'm not that much fun to be with
So what? You've come silly hatter
So what? I didn't want to come here, anyway.

What matters you, doesn't matter, matter to me.
What matters to me, doesn't matter, matter to you.
What matters to you, doesn't matter, matter to them.
What matters to them, doesn't change anything.

Got to get on it first train home.
Got to get on it first train home

First train home I've got to get on it
(I've got to get on it)
To catch, to catch, catch-catch, catch.
(First train home)
First train home I've got to get on it
First train home.
(First train home)

To go, to go, to go
Get, get, get, get
Out, out, out, out
Now, now, now, now

all about eve

when I watched this drama in 2000 one thing that really impressed me was the competition between two girl as announcers in one of TV station - the nice girl and the ambitious one.  now,  after the second time I watched  the impression is getting clearer. how such a human can be so ambitious and envious thus she can do anything to achieve what she wants, even leaving her love behind. reflect on myself, well sometimes it happens too, such an envious feeling toward other's better condition. but, fortunately, sometimes I remember myself to look down too, and that's relieving.

Main Cast:
Chae Rim as Jin Sun-mi
Kim So Yeon as Huh Young-mi
Jang Dong Gun as Yoon Hyong-chul
Han Jae Suk as Kim Woo-jin

Aired in 2000 on MBC
Writer: Park Ji Hyun
Director: Lee Jin Suk, Han Chul Soo

Sun Mi (Chae Rim) is a lovely college student who lives with her middle class widowed father. She has a happy childhood with her sort-of-boyfriend Woo Jin (Han Jae Suk). Life changes radically for Sun Mi when her father decides to support Young Mi (Kim So Yeon), a beautiful girl the same age as Sun Mi.

Young Mi suddenly becomes an orphan when her father, an alcoholic who frequently abused her, dies in an accident while working for Mr. Jin/Sun Mi's father's construction company. Young Mi has grown up in poverty, but she is not a humble person. She's arrogant, greedy and full of resentment. She envies Sun Mi for all she is and has, even Woo Jin's love.

Young Mi becomes Sun Mi's rival in every aspect of her life. First, Young Mi steals Woo Jin from Sun Mi, then tries to take over her job at a very important TV Network and finally puts her eyes on Sun Mi's new boyfriend, Hyong Chul (Jang Dong Gun) one of the network's top executives, whom Sun Mi met during a trip to London. But Hyong Chul's love for Sun Mi is stronger than Young Mi's estimation. Meanwhile Woo Jin suffers of a broken heart as Young Mi makes his life miserable and finally dumps him so she can chase Hyong Chul.

The climax of the plot comes when a former lover of Young Mi appears and threatens to reveal her deepest secret should she not return to him: a dark past as a prostitute. Since the mischievous gangster did not succeed in his attempts, he decides to kill Young Mi. Woo Jin dies while saving her life. However, all of Young Mi's treachery is exposed and she attempts to commit suicide, but her efforts are frustrated when she is found unconscious by a group of nuns on the shore of the Han River. When Young Mi wakes up she suffers amnesia and has lost almost all memory of her past.

The drama ends with a happy reconciliation between Young Mi and Sun Mi, who cries beside Young Mi asking forgiveness for the misunderstanding between them since they met. Finally Hyong Chul swears eternal love and proposes to Sun Mi right in the middle of a street, asking her not to move to London.
