domestic leagues are over: what next?

DBarcelona: Champion of La Liga

After being tightly followed by its rival, Real Madrid, finally Barca was able to keep their crown again as
La Liga Champion 2009/2010 after defeating Valladolid 4-0.
At the same time, Real Madrid could only get 1-1 when visited Malaga, and this club closed this season without any single title reached.
And, last match on last weekend (May 16, 2010) was the last match for Spain domestic league.
Lionel Messi (Barcelone) closed this season as top scorer with his 34 goals.

Inter Milan: Scudetto

This is the second title they win for this season. Internazionale successes in locking champion title for five times respectively after defeats Siena 1-0. And they are still waiting for the triple crowns if they win in the next final of Champion League that will be held next Sunday. Internazionale will meet Bayern Munich in this final.

Bayern Munich: Bundesliga Champion

This club also has a burning spirit of Treble Winner just like Inter Milan. Bayern gets their second title after defeating Werder Bremen 4-0 in their last DFB match.

Chelsea - English Premier League's Champion of 2009-2010

Last night game (May 9, 2010) was a crucial match for Chelsea especially to beat Manchester United in gaining the champion title of this season. Chelsea met WIgan Athletic in their home stadium of Stamford Bridge. And The Blues beat Wigan 8-0! What a fantastic achievement. This results has made them the champion for the three times. The latest was 2005-2006 under the leadership of manager Jose Mourinho.

The recent manager - Carlo Ancelotti - guided the Blues to their first Championship success since 2006 in his debut season in England as Chelsea took their tally to 103 goals - the highest in the Premier League since Manchester United in 2000 and the first to achieve the century since Tottenham Hotspur in 1962/3.

United's 4-0 victory over Stoke City at Old Trafford was irrelevant as the Blues finished the season one point clear of their rivals.

Ancelotti's side smashed home seven or more goals for the fourth time this season as Wigan, who had defender Gary Caldwell sent-off on the half-hour, simply capitulated.

A hat-trick from Golden Boot winner Didier Drogba, who finished the season with 29 Barclays Premier League goals, two from Nicolas Anelka, a Frank Lampard penalty and others from Salomon Kalou and Ashley Cole, left Chelsea champions and on the brink of a League and FA Cup Double.

Only Portsmouth now stand in their way of a history-making season for Ancelotti and his team.

The Blues will become only the seventh team in the history of the game to win both competitions if they can overcome Avram Grant's side at Wembley next week.

Congratulations The Blues!
