Running Up The Hill - Sidomukti

My town is located in the foot of a very well-known mountain in Central Java (Mt. Merbabu - 3,145 m (10,318 ft), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Merbabu). Around it there are several interesting places to go: mount climbing, waterfall, art village, volcano pass, strawberry gardens, etc.

One of them is a place called Sidomukti (Umbul Sidomukti). It is located in Sidomukti Village, Kecamatan Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. It becomes a tourism object since it was open in August 2, 2007.

It takes about an hour to get there by motorbike. My friends and me visited it last year. The route itself is climbing, curving, and some of it are still damaged, but the sceneries are worth!
After arriving we will  be greeted by the fresh air and the view is great (though sometimes hidden by the fogs). Besides, this place also offers many games to play, three swimming pools, garden and gazebos, etc.

Swimming Pools
It is said that this swimming pool is the highest in Indonesia, even in Asia. It has fresh spring and a spray of  1.5 m height from the bottom of the pool. It is designed in traditional-minimalist with nature stone stacks and an open theater-shaped seat around it.

Or just sitting and looking around the sceneries far... far away ...

How  to go there
It can be reached by private vehicles due to the route and the road condition itself.
